Rent the Side of a Truck as a Portable Billboard

Written by Post on Tuesday, September 1st, 2009 in Business.

Billboards are everywhere on US highways. Though some feel the number of billboards on our US highways is an eyesore, the billboards often provide valuable information for travelers.

Billboards are an effective way to advertise but their design means they have at least two drawbacks. First, the ad awaits drivers to pass by. If no one comes, no matter how important the information it contains, its silent vigil is useless. Second, normal billboards can’t do anything to attract attention. They are like statues and, with the presence of so many others, might well just be ignored.

To retain the advantages of size and color found in a stationary billboard, yet overcome these two obstacles mentioned above, some inventor came up with the concept of a portable billboard. It is a billboard that actually moves to where the people are. A portable billboard is  a billboard message displayed on the side of a truck (commonly called truckside advertising) or trailer and then driven into the target area.

The simplest and least expensive way to do this is to rent the sides and back of a truck that will post your printed ad there. You can even share the truck with another company, posting a different ad on each side and on the back for a given period of time. Everywhere the truck goes, the ad is seen. If the ad is attractive, people waiting in traffic or noticing a parking area will read the ad.

For more money, you can rent a moving ad. One version if this is designed on the same principle as the vertical three sided changing billboards. The truck or trailer is equipped with small versions of the vertical turning billboards. Each side of the prism shaped vertical sticks contains a part of the billboard. When the first surface of all of them is displayed, the entire message is seen. Then they rotate to display a second and third message, almost instantly. Traveling through traffic, the message on the sides and back keep changing every ten or fifteen seconds and this demands attention.

Another method of changing the message on the truck or trailer is through rolled up banners displayed a little at a time. A timer activates a motor and, almost instantly, the roller at the top or bottom pulls a different message into view, similar to messages at the stats tables of a basketball game. One firm sells such 10′ by 10′ trailers and claims ten messages can be stored and displayed on each of the three sides. Tempered glass protects the message and mechanism. These are also lighted internally, a fact that makes them visible even at night.

The most expensive method of portable billboard message changing is through electronics. The side of the truck or trailer is fitted with a myriad of lights that can be programmed to display multi-colored messages. No printed message is ever made; the design and display are done by the computer.

As was stated earlier, each of these techniques has the great advantage of moving the billboard message to the people. It is a great way to inform a larger audience and to advertise goods or services not related to highway travelers.

Millionaire Mind

When I first encountered it, the Millionaire Mind Intensive seminar didn’t look like the smartest idea.  I’ve run into plenty of those “make money fast” schemes, and this seminar looks like it fits right in – at least at first glance.  That’s not really the case, however.

My experience with the Millionaire Mind Intensive seminar has changed my impression.  This seminar from T. Harv Eker uses methods that will challenge the ideas you already have amount money and help you replace them with the secrets that millionaires use.  They can be millionaires because they think about money differently.

Just like the sales letter says, the Millionaire Mind Seminar can help you learn to focus on your personal wealth while others are afraid for their security, create a personal economy for yourself that keeps on thriving, and learn great strategies and when to use them.  In fact, even when the economy’s in a downturn, you can keep doing well!

You may find that you feel these intense presentations are difficult to hear, even though they’re telling you how to improve your financial situation and your life.  That’s because they’re teaching us how to do away with harmful preconceptions about money, but they do it by breaking down our internal walls.  If you’re willing to deal with the challenges, you could learn a great deal and change a lot.

There’s more here than just a course in positive thinking.  These practical exercises can help, and some of them are real challenges.  For instance, not complaining about anything for an entire week was a lot harder than it sounds.  Every one of us complains about little things, but learning not to is part of the Millionaire Mind Intensive seminar’s method of teaching us to think like millionaires.

Another thing that’s hard to deal with in this seminar is learning to face our own internal enemies – fear, doubt, worry and all their friends.  You might be thinking that money doesn’t buy happiness, and it doesn’t.  However, part of the millionaire mindset is learning how to be content and happy, so that we don’t lose focus on our personal financial situation!

Of course, if you’re not willing to deal with the fact that it won’t be all fun and games learning to think like a millionaire, perhaps you ought to give this seminar a pass.  However, if a little mental discomfort isn’t enough to keep you from your dreams, it’s time to learn more about what the Millionaire Mind Intensive seminar has to offer.  You’ll be amazed by the difference it makes.

Even if you feel like the Millionaire Mind Intensive Seminar is just another scheme, remember that I did too, at first.  However, dealing with the product has really changed my mind.  If this seminar can do for you what it’s done for so many others including me, wouldn’t you be willing to give it a try?

Newest form of marketing, custom label bottled water

Written by Post on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009 in Business.

Custom bottled water is available as an advertising or marketing device on many websites on the internet and this article will try to trace how it has come about.

Water flowing to the surface from a spring is considered natural spring water. Natural spring water loses none of its minerals. Bottled spring water is better for your body’s hydration, which is important for good health. This water does not have the salt, sugar, flavors, impurities and toxins found in most water.

The human body is over 70% water and supports all of our bodily function. It regulates temperature, and also dissolves and rids your body of a more than a few impurities and toxins.Nothing else cleans and hydrates your body like pure spring water. It is the most vital fluid you can drink.

More than a few illnesses and unhealthy conditions have been linked to forms of mineral accumulation in the body. These range from arthritis to kidney failure. It has been shown that many of these problems are solved by removing these minerals and then flushing them out of the body.

The result is the biggest new fad and growing industry– that of bottled water. The first 2 pages of a Google search on bottled water, has websites for water coming from any pure spring in our country, each claiming to be the purest and best tasting.

This then leads to the newest, the most popular way to get your logo, brand, and slogan out before the public. It’s bottled natural spring water that sports your company’s logo or trade mark on custom made labels. This type of marketing is known as private labeling.

it’s a clever, fun, and affordable way to market your company name, logo, or message to your customers. There is always something new and creative in the marketing industry and custom labeled bottled waters or
sparkling waters is very innovative especially with the new health fad of always carrying drinking water with you.

I discovered an increasingly popular form of branding is private label bottled water for wedding guests. You can have custom labels make for weddings, cocktail parties, engagement parties and outdoor weddings – all with private labels with the name of the bride and groom and the wedding date. The label can even match the napkins and other items that one might order for weddings. It is also possible to make private labels instantly for free at freelabelmaker.

I guess you could even use this device to announce the birth of your first son – private labeled bottled water named after the baby.I am sure if I sit here long enough, I can think of even more fun ways to use private labeled bottled water, but I am sure you already get the idea .

Banner Towing by Airplane: A Strategy Guide

Written by Post on Friday, May 22nd, 2009 in Business.

Every healthy company advertises. Some rely solely on word of mouth ads. Others glut the reader with information. Advertising is expensive and it requires great planning to use these dollars wisely. Simply put, sometimes a few words can go a long way.

Airplane banner towing takes a short message a long way. An airplane flies over a crowd of people with a banner or billboard streaming behind. The message is concise, the competition gone, and the readability impeccable. The simplicity in turn means less cost and greater effectiveness.

Banner ads have the advantage of being quick to produce. Since they are, at most, one sentence, the time needed to make the idea fly is greatly reduced. Typos are rare and no coupons much be managed.

The concise message of a banner ad is designed to give only enough information to interest the customer. Further facts are available to those truly interested. Thus, the company is not paying for wasted printed materials.

The one drawback of aerial billboards and banner ads is that everything hinges on the impact of that short message. It has been said that to talk an hour, a speaker can wing it; to talk for ten minutes takes planning. This is true of banner ads also.  The message should be sharp and easy to read. It should do its best to convey to the audience what is being sold, provided, or conveyed in a way that will be remembered without effort.

Contrast this to traditional advertising which uses a multitude of words to convey facts and figures designed to attract a customer to their product. Though such ads are expensive, there is no guarantee that the ad will even be read. Yes, this information needs to be conveyed, but why pay to get it to a multitude of uninterested people?

There is something about a banner flying behind a plane that demands attention. People hear the hum of the engine and look up. During the 17 seconds the banner is visible, they may read the message several times. If it returned, it will probably cause them to recall the message. By the time they get home, the sight of a plane will probably bring the message to mind once again. This recall is virtually free advertising. Yes, the information in a printed ad is often needed. In such a case, the banner ad can be used in conjunction with a printed ad, multiplying its effectiveness.

No one can doubt that an airplane banner is effective. Studies prove that. Banner advertisers pay to get their message to a large group without competition, and many will remember that message long after it has disappeared over the horizon.
