The saying well says that eyes reflect one’s personality and patios define taste of individuals. Crucial factors make it necessary to decorate patio with perfect care. Your visitors will not directly enter into bedroom but they will surely have a look at your patio or enter inside. Think of an impression they would have of your patio if you don’t maintain it. Decorating patios is helpful for you and your family’s benefit. Such factors would come into your notice when you do that for once.
You literally make your well planned patio de facto living room for family who would like to spend enough time in open to observe nature., But it is only possible when patio is comfortable. Buying expensive furniture or patio umbrella is not enough to motivate them. These people might have stayed in the open while growing up watching cartoon television and munching chips.
You can install a fountain in one side, one of those waterfall types that are made from cast stone. It will seem as though the water is cascading down the hills. Plant some shrubs and herbs all around it to give it jungle like look. Selection of such plants will entirely depend upon your taste, the type of soil and climatic condition of the place you live in.
Alternately, you can install a wall-mounted drinking water fountain. Make it the focal point of your patio and arrange the furniture around it. Buy a wall-mounted patio umbrella because regular umbrellas may not look good too close to the wall. These umbrellas also have rotating arms and so you can position them exactly where you like. Such arrangements may also be suitable you if you want to leave some space in the middle for yard games like corn toss or washer toss games.
You can use shade sail as an alternative option to maintain warmth in patio. There is slight difference between them and patio umbrella but their features are same. They can keep the area cool and breezy. We are discussing about summer months instead of winters which is more important. Summer usually winds up early and winters have bigger share in the year. Keeping these aspects in mind we should have detailed talk about making appropriate use of patio in chilling winters. Best option is installing outdoor heaters which keep patio warmed and lively.
Choice varies and some of us like electric heaters whereas rest try to have heaters running through profane which is a three-carbon alkane. This gas is transmitted into liquid form though we use its gas form. This petroleum by-product is considered best usable for fueling needs. Mixture of propane, propylene, butane, butylenes and odorants including ethanethiol or theophane make liquefied petroleum gas.History of propane is old and it is in use since longer period even before the inception of outdoor propane heaters before which it was best used in residential central heating systems.
Out of the many fuels propane is cheapest and perhaps it is the main reason that outdoor propane heaters are preferred options and people use them to keep their outdoors properly warmed particularly when temperature goes down than average level. But there is one problem with propane. It is heavier than air and a simple leakage can keep it low and gets earth filled with it. Use outdoor propane heater but always remain cautious.
Keep the following points in mind for the safety of your family:
1. Remember propane heaters are outdoor heaters and so do not use them indoors. As the gas is heavier than air, it will be extremely difficult to get rid of them in case of a leak.
2. Even when you are using it out of doors, make sure that the heater is positioned somewhere where there is no risk of contact from nearby objects, hanging materials, or anything else.
3. Though very unlikely, make sure that the heater itself does not catch fire. Remember, propane is a very volatile gas and may cause a major accident if it catches fire.
4. Do not use propane patio heaters during high winds. Wind can blow out the flames and tip over the heaters, both of which could be dangerous.
5. Position the outdoor patio heater in a shielded area where it will not be blown off by wind even on ordinary days.
6. Check the hose connections regularly and replace them if necessary to prevent leakage of gas.
When you are not using your outdoor propane heater, keep it covered and put it in safe place, away from the natural elements. The patio umbrellas should also be folded and put away for increased longevity. Cover your patio furniture and your fountain when it is freezing cold. If possible, bring them indoors for that short period to ensure their longevity.
